Berlin sights
There are many places of interest when travelling to Berlin. The most important one are:
Collapse of the Berlin wall – Visit remains
Although the wall fell some years ago, still there are some remains of the 160 km of wall that surrounded and divided Berlin in two from 1961 until 1989. Many of the visitors that travel to Berlin are surprised of how little the remains are. Many people died trying to pass from one side to the other trying to avoid the severe vigilance of the police officers of the DDR.
Potzdamer Platz
The Potzdammer platz close to the Philarmony was the main cultural and commercial square in the 20's. After WWII the square was divided by the wall belonging to the soviet and American sector.
After the fall of the wall of Berlin the Potzdammer platz was reconstructed to a modern architectural approach.
Brandenburger Tor

The Brandenburger Tor was the city gate that separated east Berlin from west Berlin. It is located under "Unter den Linden" avenue. The gate was very destructed during World War II, the bullets and explosions were patched and it was privatly redone in 2000.
Parliament Reichstag
Inside the Reichstag

The building of the Reichstag was used as the parliament until Hitler come to power. Four weeks after Hitler was named the chancellor of the Reich, in 1933 the building was set on fire. After WWII the Reichstag was completely a ruin and reconstruction began in 1955. Nowadays, it works again as the German parliament.
Modern Arquitecture
After the fall of the wall of Berlin, the city began to be rebuilt and modern architecture mixed with old building that remained appeared to be the landscape of the city of Berlin.
