For the last decades some arrondisment in the area of Paris have been gaining alternative culture where contemporary artists have their ateliers, workshops, squads and galleries.In this quartiers 10th, 11th, 20th ... the eye cannot miss the street art and graffiti scene that have become so popular.
Artists as Nemo, Mesnager, Mosko and others have been painting the grey walls and building facades.Nemo is known for the male silhouette with an umbrella that decorates many of the Parisian walls. Mesnager, one of the graffiti and street art pioneers in Paris is famous for his with corpse that can be found in different poses on different quarters, specially on the 20th and Mosko also a contemporary graffiti artist for his colourful animals.
When walking through these areas, Belleville, Villa de L'Hermitage, Bastille, Canal Saint Martin, Lachaise, etc, one can find amazing mural art and impressive graffiti at cafés, other different alternative shops and any corner of any street.
