Vacations in Portugal
The beautiful white sanded beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, the mild climate, the enchantment of the cities and towns, the kindness of the people and the interesting history and culture, are key issues that attract every visitor to Portugal.
From north to south, the country side as well as the coastal areas varies considerably, making the country rich in sight, gastronomy, artisan handwork and nightlife.

Portugal population
Population in Portugal reaches 10 million people. Portuguese people are known to be calm tempered. The atmosphere in general is friendly – Perfect for vacation visit.
Sights
Portugal Peninsula
Portugal is administratively divided in several provinces in the peninsula, plus the archipelago of Las Azores, the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo in the Atlantic Ocean.
Northern Portugal is mountainous, rich in vegetation, rivers and natural parks. The centre of Portugal is plane, and the area is known for glacier lagoons, dense forests and big mountain massifs southern Portugal, El Algarve, is known for its coastal areas, beautiful white sand beaches and amazing cliffs.
Las Azores

The archipelago of Las Azores is situated in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean half way from New York City and Lisbon and counts with nine islands. Each island may offer different things to visit, like big lagoons in old volcanoes. The island of Horta offers a wide variety of Hortensia flowers that can be admired all over the island; the island of Pico, has a huge volcano in its centre, San Miguel is the largest island and Faial is the most cosmopolitan.
The island of Madeira
The archipelago of Madeira offers a subtropical climate with fascinating and exotic vegetation. Most of the island is protected and only two islands are inhabited, the island of Madeira and Porto Santo with beautiful beaches.
Portugal nightlife
We had been going out in various cities in Portugal. The only place that had proper nightlife was Lisbon. El “Bairo Alto” offers many cool places to have some fun during the night.

Lisbon City
Lisboa is the capital of Portugal. The city is rich in contrasts from its monumental buildings and avenues to the old town full of narrow streets offering a variety of restaurant and alternative places. Sintra
Located in the Natural Park of Sintra - Cascais, in the area of Lisbon, the place offers a natural and scenery beauty. Sintra was named World Heritage Site from the Unesco and was the summer residence of the Portuguese monarchy and the Moorish chiefs.Sintra holiday guide and a few photos
Évora
This museum city became the Portuguese monarchy residence in the XV century. Located in the interior of Portugal in the region of Antelejo it is only 100 km far away from Lisbon.
Algarve
El Algarve is the southern region in Portugal. It is one of the most touristic areas within Europe. 240 km of beaches and beautiful cliffs offer the visitor a natural tourist resort.
